Yeah… I am one of those “crazy” people that like to travel with a tiny little bag for months at a time. As a one-bag traveler, I often try to keep my luggage as minimal as possible. And depending on the trip and the type of work I want to do, I often leave my computer at home and only take one of my iPads with me. This is not a big sacrifice most of the time, because Procreate (available for the iPad only) is hands down my favorite app to draw anyways. The only downside is that Procreate is a pixel drawing program, and there is no integrated way to turn your designs into a vector. This is not ideal, especially since it is so easy to create files like nice-looking logos in Procreate.
It took me a while, but finally, I found a workaround that makes it possible to vectorize your Procreate designs.
Did you know that it is quite simple to automatically trace your Procreate files and turn them into a good-looking vector? And the best thing is that you can do the entire process on the iPad only.

Tutorial 1: Turn a simple Procreate design into a vector
I released a YouTube video that shows you my process. We are going to turn this simple black and white design into a vector.
I am going to show you two different ways:
- The first way is to use a free online converting tool
- The second way is to use a dedicated program like Adobe Capture
Tutorial 2: Turn a multi-colored Procreate design into a vector
It takes a little bit more effort to vectorize Procreate art with more than one color. It takes more time, but it is not difficult to do.
